The preschool opened in 2013 under the name Mes Amis Preschool. My business partner and I bought the preschool in 2015 and changed the name to Little Explorers Preschool in 2016. I became the sole owner in 2017, won #1 Childcare Centre in the Best of Medicine Hat in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 and have worked hard to grow the preschool to what it is today. In the spring of 2021, Little Explorers Preschool was honoured to receive a $10,000 GoodSpark Small Business Grant from Desjardins Insurance. This nomination was made by Crystal Metz Insurance and we are so proud to have been a winning recipient.
I have my Certificate in Early Childhood Education and have over 25 years experience in the education and childcare fields. Believing children learn best through play, it is my goal to provide an inclusive, safe, positive, play-based environment for children 3-5 years of age where they have the opportunity to learn self regulation, kindness, empathy, confidence, communication skills, and kindergarten readiness skills. Learning through play supports cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language development.
